I am long overdue for some blogging (sorry about that!) So I thought I would start here. It’s not everyday you get to photograph your best friends. The last time I shared a session on the blog, these two were engaged and living in Denver, Colorado. Last summer, one year ago today, to be exact, these two tied the knot and celebrated their marriage with all of their family and friends in a sort of “destination wedding” in Cross Lake, Minnesota. The day could not have been more perfect; the sky was blue, the beer was cold and by looking back at their photos, there were only smiles to be had.

Zach and Mollie are dear friends, so I was honored when they asked me to capture their day. (A whole day spent with some of my very favorite people in snazzy clothes? Yes please!) To be honest, capturing all of their exciting adventures has been this photographers dream, and I cannot wait for them to welcome their first babe in just two short weeks!

These two were the ultimate DIY couple. From the flowers to the desserts to the decor, these two worked hard to create the wedding of their dreams. I think you just need to take a look for yourself…

When your friends move to the mountains and get engaged, the only way to celebrate is to go see said friends in the mountains and take photos. I am really looking forward to having Zach + Mollie back in Minnesota in August to celebrate their big day.

I’ve always been a tad jealous that Kyle has kept such great relationships with his friends he met growing up. I have known Zach for over twelve years now, and have had the opportunity to get to know and love Mollie over the past (almost) two years, too. They have made Colorado home and ever since their move, we knew we would need to make the trip to visit as soon as we could. We put on a lot of miles, laughed a ton, and celebrated friendships (old and new). I also learned that I love the mountains.
I cannot wait to go back.
